For the tobacco industry

Cigarette filters to specification.

Investtrade works with producers who specify their own filter. We start from the values that decide how the filter runs on your machine and how the cigarette smokes — length, diameter, ventilation and pressure drop — and build a construction that keeps to them. Mono, combined and charcoal constructions follow the same discipline: an agreed specification, repeated on every order, with deliveries you can plan production around.

Inside the filter

Body

The filter body is formed to an exact density. Density is the first decision: it sets the draw resistance and how firm the filter stays in the machine.

    Range

    Four constructions. One standard.

Four constructions cover almost everything a cigarette producer asks for: a plain filter body, a combined filter with segments, a charcoal construction, and a hollow mouth end. Inside each of them the dimensions and proportions are yours. We fit the construction to the brand and to the machine it has to run on rather than offering a fixed catalogue, and once a construction is accepted it is repeated the same way on the next order.

    01

    Mono-acetate

One continuous body inside the wrap, built around a stable pressure drop. It is the most predictable construction we make and the usual starting point when a brand is specified from scratch, or when an existing filter has to be matched closely enough that the difference is not noticed.

    02

    Dual and triple

Two or three sections in one filter, combining a filtration body with a functional part. The joints between them decide the result: they stay even and open, so every filter in the batch draws the same — at the start of a delivery and at the end of it.

    03

    Charcoal

A charcoal section for producers who want adsorption to be part of the character of the tobacco. The carbon is contained and evenly spread, the loading is agreed in advance, and the construction holds it in place instead of letting it settle in transport.

    04

    Hollow end

A hollow mouth end for a softer, more open draw, and filters prepared as part of a final combined filter. The cavity is formed in production rather than cut in afterwards, so the end stays clean and the look and the geometry are the same across the whole order.

    Specification

    Parameters we keep to.

Before production starts we agree a written specification: dimensions, construction, pressure drop, ventilation, charcoal where it applies, and the way the filters are packed and delivered. That document is the reference for the whole order — samples are approved against it and production is checked against it. If the brand changes, the specification is revised openly, and it stays on file for the orders that follow.

    Method

From the specification to the series.

    1. 01

      Specify

We start from your requirements and from the machine the filter has to run on. Dimensions, draw, ventilation, segments and packing are written down in detail, and anything still open is settled by sample rather than by assumption.

    2. 02

      Prove

Trial production shows whether the construction keeps to the agreed values and runs steadily on your line. You receive filters to test under your own conditions, and series begins only once both sides approve the result.

    3. 03

      Run

The approved construction is repeated with control through the whole order and packing that arrives ready for the line. Deliveries follow your production plan, and the specification stays on file, so a repeat order months later is the same filter.

    Correspondence

    Send a specification.

Tell us what the filter has to do: dimensions, construction, draw, ventilation, whether charcoal is involved, and the volumes and schedule you work to. We answer with a proposed construction, samples where they are useful, and clear terms for series production. An existing filter you want matched is enough to start from.
